  15. --- 1.  What is ExoDel? ---
  16.  
  17. ExoDel was created by Justin Streufert.
  18.  
  19.     ExoDel is a program that deletes files so they can never be
  20. recovered, including by ms-dos UNDELETE and other programs.  The
  21. normal Windows 95 and DOS delete commands (and throwing files into
  22. the recycle bin) leaves your important files around for intruders
  23. to take easily.  ExoDel fixes all that by virtually "incinerating"
  24. files, thouroughly removing them from your drive.

  29. --- 2.  Installing ---
  30.  
  31. To install ExoDel, PKUNZIP all the files into a temporary directory.
  32. Run SETUP.EXE; the rest is self-explanitory.  ExoDel will end up on
  33. your Program Files menu (not in any program folder).

  35. If you are using a recent version of Nico Mak Computing's WinZip or a
  36. similar program, you can just open the ZIP file and click the INSTALL 
  37. button.

  39. --- 3.  Registering ---
  40.  
  41. Registering the software is only US$9, and you can do it with a check
  42. by mail.  (It is illegal to use this software for more than 30 days
  43. without registering, by the way).
  44.  
  45. Benefits of registering:
  46. - Be able to delete as many files at a time as you want
  47. - Drag-and-drop and "Send To" ExoDel for quick access (see Hints)
  48. - Remove annoying delay and having to click buttons at startup
  49. - Get rid of all UNREGISTERED messages
  50. - Relieve your conscience
  51. - Save the programmers from starvation
  52. - Uphold the shareware concept
  53. - IT IS ILLEGAL TO USE THE PROGRAM FOR MORE THAN 30 DAYS WITHOUT
  54.   REGISTERING IT.  So there.

  56. How can I register?  
  57. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  58. Just open the program and click Register.  Choose
  59. the option to make a registration form, and press ">> Next >>" .. Fill
  60. out the form and click ">> Next >>" again.  Print out the text file
  61. that appears in Notepad, and send it in with a check for $9 made out to
  62. Justin Streufert.  (the address is on the order form) ..

  64. You will recieve (by email, or postal mail if you have no email 
  65. address) your unique registration code.  It is FOR YOUR EYES ONLY!  It
  66. is illegal to give it (or the registered software) to others.  Choose
  67. Register again, and choose the option that you already have your code.
  68. Enter your code in the text box, and click ">> Next >>" ... that's it.

  75. --- 4.  Helpful Hints ---

  77. These only work when you are registered!
  78.  
  79. * To speed up deletion, add a shortcut to ExoDel on the desktop.  Then
  80. you can drag a file to it to delete it.
  81.  
  82. * Even better, put a shortcut in the \windows\SendTo directory!  Then
  83. you can right-click on a file, go to Send To, and click ExoDel, to
  84. delete from anywhere in the shell.
